late arrival of desire
city of ruined mornings
unknown and sleeping
inevitable modernity
of gone eras
shadows stream sideways
glimpse of
shorn grass
and corridors of light
wind pushes the bank
lines cross
form roots
reach to the heart
we acquire perhaps
mastery
dust lane blossom south
- the careful ambivalence
of river bank theories
the French mothers arrive
east of the promontory
we flirt with bishops
on void patios
the lovers depart
with awkward charm
old homage of ritual
this is the symbol
of slow weeks
the symphony
of every limb
