Dazzlement
for matthew francis
a fuzzy feeling the hint of
some cool jazz in the air
it happens mostly in my bed
thinking about zed zed
strange really the words that turn me
on a bulls pizzle or
the creaking mizzen mast of an
old oak tea cutter or
the leather muzzle round the nose
of a wild rottweiler
sizzling chinese beef dipped in black
bean sauce with egg fried rice
or getting sozzled on bottles
of fizzy french white wine
tell me about it you say what
poets need for a buzz
it’s not the same what an s does
all that verbal razzamatazz
