over cobbles, glint of canal, steepled skylines, chimneys
Sunday best Africans marching to church, low sun
flooding the Thames, wharves, Canary singing
Fingerthumbs framing Georgian windows,
director’s cut, thousand pictures never taken,
you, auburn hair an open curtain across your face,
flowing, letting me spread my hands through.
