the figure
stands
behind
the figure

in each thing knotting
to an eye
wherever mine

desire to leave

isolate

weaving of branches

shades

in a field collecting
reason

out into the small
curls
of a leaf

growing
dark

thoughts beneath procession
beneath clouds
aging

where winds barely ran
patterns
pass informing
a plain of wheat

to nothing
having given it all
away

inamorate moon
night’s signs
flare and dissipate

as your losses
become opaque

we sleep and wake
on earth
unaware and
unable to read
gravity

passages
listen after

two sounds
