The rigs of the skeletal crane
a cello, frets and strings
against a deepening purple.
Fighting for room,
Crammed on the bridge
Chummy starlings scandal
The chord’s cadences in the wind.
Like all of us,
They miss the tune
And the fading beautiful glory,
Worried about a seat in the pub.
