The latest issue. The best to date. I think (but then I would). So if your subscription runs out this time I trust you’ll feel you owe it to yourself to renew. Please note that the rate has gone up, but that it is still ludicrously cheap. Any friends, libraries, scout groups, masonic lodges, do press them to do the decent thing. THE NORTH is here to stay but it would rather run on two shoestrings than one.
And it so happens that a stack of the writers here have collections available (post-free) from this address, and we’d be glad to send details also of any contributors you’d like to follow up on. Especially if you’re a readings organiser.
Keith Jafrate’s issue has had to be held over till next, as you may have noticed by now. Don’t panic.
It only remains to ask if you’ve read Coleridge’s letters. Came across this the other day, ‘All men write poetry in their way - though for the most part their ways are damned bad ones.’ A shame, I thought. THE NORTH wasn’t around in his day.
And finally. We want articles especially on contemporary poetry. And we’re still looking for a letters section. Scandal preferably, but gossip will do.
