as if a measure of art: involved
totally, so that I cannot see myself
being involved. Look
I am dancing.
I glide, dip, I’ve twisted
done the boogalloo, but that
was long ago in another place.
that was in another life totally, she said
that marriage, I’m involved now
in this one.
…and when they play a polka or a tango.
I like to skate more than anything, she said
but I like it even better
when it’s boys and girls together:
that’s when I really get lost.
