At table number ten the air is hotting up
But sound no longer carries here.
His groin is calling all the shots,
She’s loving it, and him.
he’s got the right clothes on (for now).
Her eyes, her hands, are throwing in the towel,
Knocked senseless by his ‘charm’,
His mobile phone and all.
Now there’s only time between them –
Tables evaporate, spectators fall away,
And the cigarette goes in and out,
In and out.
