It’s still a secret where he goes
each evening when it’s dark outside.
He’s very careful no one knows
that as hours pass excitement grows.
In case they tease he daren’t confide;
it’s still a secret. Where he goes
when tights are on and make-up glows
I cannot say, though dignified,
he’s very careful no one knows.
They bend and glide while in their rows.
Despite his passion he decides
it’s still a secret where he goes.
Performance over, body slows.
With flames still dancing deep inside,
he’s very careful no one knows.
He is the lead in ballet shows
but though I watch in awe and pride
