Introduction
The following contributions were submitted to the Editor independently, and, coincidentally, at the same time. The areas of agreement and disagreement, roughly corresponding to three generations, seem symptomatic; the one common allegation is that the amount of bad poetry—'tinplate', 'cynical', 'private wriggling joys'—seems disproportionate. Correspondence on this subject will be welcome.—The Editor
