The Lighthouse
On a rocky promontory jutting out into the sea stands a lighthouse, a solid presence above the ever-moving, ever-changing waves.
The lighthouse begins to move. Slowly, ponderously it walks down the rocks and into the sea, disappearing beneath the water. Not realising it has gone, three seagulls come to perch upon it and fall to the rocks below.
A turbulence arises at the point where the lighthouse vanished. In the midst of the frothing waves a large bright-red jellyfish comes into view, like a rose blossoming among its wind-swept leaves
The jellyfish swims slowly out to sea. The turbulence subsides, leaving no sign that the lighthouse ever existed - unless the pale trailers of pink that fleck the surface of the water give some hint of its passing.
