perhaps talking, or more likely
half hearing lambs, a skylark.
Then silver’s poured out over sea.
This image telephoto’d, a good front page.
Later, approaching Fionnphort, as the ferry
dips, slowly rises, you stare ahead at hills,
sense, in the breeze, the vast ocean,
light angled through cloud, Iona’s hidden side.
