The Seasons of Hell
ll these wonderful curious people
All men who had interesting ideas
How long would it last
Being constantly in the seasons of hell?
All these scientific and philosophical formulas
That men have created
Will come to me as I suffer madness
And sorrow and sad times
In the seasons of hell.
All the anxious time
In the seasons of hell.
Oh father, oh mother, oh human and unhuman
Such as it is in the seasons of hell.
Life can be long, can be short,
Time flies in the seasons of hell.
All these films that you’ve seen
Such a mad, mad man
As sorrow comes into your soul
All madmen suffer the seasons of hell.
As a human being I know dread and fear
In the seasons of hell.
I am a man of letters
A man of full honesty
All these people
All wonderful and full of honour
I know many, many artists
All in the seasons of hell.
As I seek no dread and horror and anxiety
I suffer in the seasons of hell.
How somehow I suffer insanity
Madness and fear as I am constantly
In the seasons of hell.
At dark nights when sadness creeps
And sorrow comes constantly
I dwell in the seasons of hell.
