Silence Before Silence
At dawn mists
the sound of drakes Looming upside among the tules
the sun wheel of the sublimest notion.
In a tule fog a cranium that remains
nameless
Present and unaccounted for: the one
a valley named feminine
cabarets there incline
toward rumors of yang
What could be could be waiting
does not deter the unimaginable:
memory vessels the oceanic before
the waters broke, the beloved community
without a signature on precocious stone
Lines draw the eyelids when
heaven in an uncooked instant
reaches
the body’s dignity freedom
from mere equatorial sight
