Dormobile Memories
Such a time she had that summer
parked in the shadow of sand-dunes
while the sun dissolved in the sea.
Oh, such nights when naked figures
wrestled hard in their sleeping bag,
and her tin sides perspired with love.
Abandoned, she stands held fast by bindweed,
skin peeling where the suntan fades.
Her tyres have sagged, her nipples rusted.
Once she was a lovers' nest on wheels
but now squeaking springs are sole reminder
of such nights when her world bucked and sang.
