ancient forms
unmoved by weather
mountains with no end of scarves
pashmina today
silk shawl tomorrow
the Dubh Loch’s wrinkles smoothed, powdered
woodcock write runes under aspens
footprints tell tales
then blur
flurried by diamonds
dazzling on drifts
sunshine refracts into joy-points
this land remembers ice
slow land bright land
old land white land
