Glass Bottles
The way you collect them
row upon row.
Ribbed glass, plain glass,
coloured and clear.
Hoping to catch the sunlight
but you never quite screw the top on
tight enough to prevent the escape.
These moments, I remember you
as my blood drips on glass.
A wide shaft of sunbeams
glints like a falling eye.
Teardrops of red
staining your world of glass.
