Eating The Light
Shadows,
Eating away the light,
Squandered yesterdays
And wasted way-back-whens.
Eating away the light
I look around me
A Sisyphus pushing boulders
Compelled to question
Always waiting for answers.
Eating away the light.
Pursuing “Better”
Pursuing “Goal”
Waiting for IT to come
Waiting for IT to show
Eating away the light.
And the fear
Pushes me to unimaginable
Heights of inactivity
Self-fulfilling prophecies
Eating away the light.
Like Godot perhaps?
Or just youthful Apathy?
Shadows, eating away my light.
