Had seen more world
Than she
The starchy grandeur
Of his shirts
Glowed in salons
Posited beyond
Her reach
Yet that frankness
Of look
Framed in pompadour hair
The cockade of barrettes
All points to the planets
Told him she was happy
To be learning
The astringent allure
Of shadowing
