How many rivers must you bear
in days being born
beyond the bridges that remember
beyond the shivering mornings
the silences of laurel trees surprised by your footsteps
here and there like letters stolen from the night
in the seditious high walls
There you are again river an untiring confidant
the fir tree consoles you not as you flow
in sprightly memory
nor does the sea embrace your old memories
carried away by the unfaithful source
leaving the noria of your bared heart there
hanging above the seguias of the ephemeral
