Something about speed
We heard
you had three bonfires
that everything
went in
windows and car doors
a gas fridge for effect
a cocked mouth
loaded with every damn
the bits you started
out with
with him
a junky past
to come away in your hands
to rise with the smoke
a new lover
to pad you out
I hear
your distant roar
from my boundaries
now see the aqua
flash on the road
and the sketch of you
behind the wheel
behind the sunglasses
advertising
something about speed
