The Box
Inside the box is a photograph
of a man and a woman
on their wedding day.
He, dark and tall,
carries his wife
in full bridal regalia
into the water.
He walks deep into the sea,
bobbing up and down
with the waves
until he extends his hand
to reach the large red beacon
in front of him
and smiles at her.
