Calling
Cry cariad cry,
to the soaring kites that rudder
above the escarpment and our heads.
Cry cariad, cry
the chill wind through bare
branches and onto our faces.
Cry cariad
for bletted sloes and
finally ripe rosehips.
Cry while we bask, however
weak the sun on our backs.
