The Man With The Stop-watch
The sky-jumper’s legs hang limp
in the air.
Gravity pulling upwards.
Said to feel wonderful
with solid ground above you.
How long does at one with the world last?
Now he catches sight of a happy coffee-drinker.
Mystery.
Time stands still?
Three minutes, ten seconds.
With a deafening clatter
the spoon lands in the empty cup.
