which was forwarded by three separate sources,
allow me cordially to extend
this unique, once in a shelf-life opportunity
to undergo conscription
into your humble servant.

is accepted for writing,
albeit at irregular intervals
and with varying results.
As far as possible
each piece is left free
to discover its own style.

     In the matter of content --

lyrical-historical-quizzical-
romantic-pedantic-semantic --
the policy of the house
is not to have one.

     Admittedly, the post of cover designer
has long been unfilled.
Regrettable perhaps,
but regular users
have been kind enough to state
that this is not usually a problem.

     A roll-over competition
for Poem-of-the-Moment-by-Someone-Else
appears to be inevitable.
All spirits raised
are poured back into the organism.

     Owing to a shortage of storage space
back issues are pulped on a daily basis,
but some can be ordered in advance.

     In return for your commitment
as an element of the persona,
you will be encouraged to exchange
neuronal and cultural impulses
at our informal overview sessions
which brew up several times a week.

     Within the arrangement proposed
the rates of mutual compensation
cannot be meaningfully predicted.
Importunity permitting,
they will have to be negotiated
across the barrel of a time-gun.
