Editorial
At the beginning of this issue John, the explorer, ventures into emotional, mental and spiritual states. Poetry ventures into all sorts of places and it is one of the fascinations of editing this magazine that the poets, who send us poems, take us with them on their journeys. We appreciate the privilege and hope that you do, too, although you readers get to see only a relatively small number of the poems we get to see.
We try to offer you a variety of scenery in the journey we invite you to take through our magazine and trust that you will approach it with open minds. It sometimes takes an effort not to have preconceived ideas that obstruct the vision and limit the enjoyment. We feel sure that the readers of ‘Borderlines’ will be ready to make that effort when necessary, though we must say that we also feel sure that the poems on offer in this issue will bring you pleasure and meet with your approval.
