The Chronicler
Welling from the softly sharpened quill /
Black ink-strokes / sparkling darkly.
A river of repetitions. And horror
Flows from the trembling hand. It wanders
By day and night in distress across the paper.
Nothing much of interest happens nowadays.
And so the hand grows weary of writing.
