A salmon in a fish kettle
Roses pinned to the castle wall
She calls the dances, dressed all in green
A small angle watches from the ceiling centre
Men, make a star, give the girl away
Out to the night, the tomorrows of rain
Collect your partner at the circle's end
Spin him, spin her - however you will
A white horse in the meadow, a dog somewhere

A drum, a harp, only a violin now-
Promenane in the dark, in the waiting trees
Slow waltz in space, we are almost out of time
Steps in the grass go dancing, dancing
Tomorrow's shoes in another room
