Safety
I looked down from the bridge
And shrank from the dirt
The metal lines were clean
But not the gaps
Neater to stay alive
Waking, walking, working
But gentle to be dead
A silent berth
When I walked in the room
A man admired my dress
He thought the colour me
A pretty blue
I wake and walk and work
In a cotton coloured dress
I have my camouflage
My patterned blue
The trains keep going by
From my view on the bridge
The metal lines are clean
But not the gaps
