Carmen Bugan (Poetry in Practice, page 48) was born and grew up in Romania. She was educated in Romania, America and Ireland and is now completing a doctorate in English literature at Balliol College, Oxford. Her collection, Crossing the Carpathians, is due from Oxford Poets/Carcanet in October 2004. She is an editor of Oxford Poetry (Magdalen College, Oxford). Matthew Caley (Neo-hogbutchererbigdriftities, page 17) was third in the National Poetry Competition last year and was poet-in-residence at the Poetry Society Cafe October to December 2003. His second collection, The Scene Of My Former Triumph, is due from Wrecking Ball Press later this year. David Constantine (What good does it do?, page 14) is a Fellow of Queen's College, Oxford. He is a leading translator of the German poets Hölderlin and Hans Magnus Enzensberger and was the Presiding Spirit in Magma 24. His most recent collection is Something for the Ghosts (Bloodaxe 2002). Mary MacRae (Review, page 63) had recently had poems in Entering the Tapestry, the Poetry School anthology published by Enitharmon, and Four Caves of the Heart, an anthology of women's poetry from Second Light Publications. Mark McGuinness (PBS Review, page 66) lives in London where he works as a psychotherapist and a coach for managers and creative professionals. Mario Petrucci (Poetry in Practice, page 45) has his details on page 73. Tim Robertson (Presiding Spirits, page 27) studied English in Britain and America before training as a social
worker. He lives and works in London.
