he worked there
went walking in the mountains
he loved them
got married to a Naim girl
he loved her
Alan lived near Inverness
And was born near Walsall
and had an accent
and English parents
Alan wasn’t Scottish
though he thought he was
and his children are
and they live near Inverness.
David lives near Culloden
was born there
can trace his kin
through blood and glen
can see a time
where no white settler
will take his children’s land.
