Quotation
She knew of death in a poetic vein,
the cadences of "lighting the way to dusty death"
and "Death thou hast no dominion"
protecting her like a talisman.
"Say the word and I'll recite" she'd smile
gentling her sons in a mist of words, a lullaby
of distant truth.
When they found her her eyes were open.
