Heaven
First they take your phone numbers. The ones
you never forgot. Your home
when you were ten, your home
when you died, your parents (if they
lived, and moved away from where
they were when you were a child), your
best friends, 911, and all the others.
They are going to use
that room in your memory, your
soul, for something new now, something
that has nothing to do
with numbers, but much, much
to do with love, that part in you
without limit which is one
of the reasons you got
to Heaven, along with the fact
that you were one of the few in the
Twenty-first Century who read poetry.
