The Beautiful Day VII
the wild man broke
into the room where
she
cringed like a child in
a corner
'the crew'
was also there, bravely
watching,
their faces sopping up
the air.
he screamed,
"say one
word
& die!!" his hand crushed
her two lips
together to
assure she didn't.
her scream went back
in.
then, when
all was moss
& fresh
linen
he licked the
blood from her lips
