You’re dawdling on a hammock and somehow out of nowhere
you spot that crouching tiger
glittering from deep within the horizon’s schizophrenic eyeball.
You climb out of the hammock
because you’ve not yet changed into Dali’s Son of God.
Almost four legs
you’re hurtling through those dunes like a napalm dog.
Wondrous songs are slipping into the sea like turtles
and you’ve hauled yourself onto some great melancholic throb
because you somehow knew it was the moment of the Diva.
You’re going to hang around forever in the asylum of the whitebait.
The sea will crack with electrifying voices.
