Dinah, you were a bugger

How were we to know

you wanted to be a typist
and live on Beefsteak Row
the wife of a cloth designer?
But, let down, went through the mill
and married the joiner.
And after two confinements called it a day
and jabbed your steel nib at him
and scorned most things
through yards of savage crocheting
