like the hideous slice of pizza in the fridge
that you don’t remember ordering
in the crunchy eyed morning
- a witness to your glitterball
when face hurts from smiling too much
and all you can taste is
yesterday
sit around on the alien’s sofa
kate’s mum has this carpet
what you say is of no matter...
(bang) (bang) (bang)
... but it haunts you anyway
someone smiled someone laughed
you wonder why - but it is already tomorrow
talk so much you can’t be heard
explosion head time
nod and smile and
be friendly and
the sweaty pit calls your name
follow yourself down soon
hope and pray to god
yesterday is not forever
