Mohican
The last time he rested
He was beached in a hospital.
He thought he was at the end
Of his shivering existence.
Tonight home is a tunnel
with dog turds for company.
He will not step outside
To be spat at by the sky
And roughed up by the wind.
Fingering teeth he should
Pull for the fairies
He forgets where he is
Between Toxteth and Tooting.
Glue is erasing his mind.
