new moon
the sister of a friend I haven’t seen for nearly a decade was in our dormitory on my bed doing nothing in particular just talking in a dream
we had a tea-party on a carousel which went upside down as well as round and round and no-one
spilt a drop
afterwards some of the guests could be seen swinging from lamp-posts in the city watching skateboarders carve impossibly high arcs up glass walls then come down to cruise across wet cobblestones
at the end of the day it was early morning and I woke up wondering why I threw a full plate of dinner at my eldest sister in a house unoccupied by Urwins since nineteen ninety one
maybe Dawn had the same dream too
