the train flicks through the postcards
and stops at this one
mountains lake sky
no imperfections
such exact craftsmanship
and here we are
(the spot marked by a cross)
following our cases along
a corridor of locked doors
the human interest wondering
where to fit in
in the room (just off the postcard)
are two beds pushed together
two mirrors reproducing each other
(we seem to complete
some inscrutable pattern)
and a brochure showing
mountains lake sky
so many shut doors
locks to pick
and where so we begin ?
voices on the balconies
and the sound of bells
that's it
open the window wider
