Dead Bull
I feel half drowned
Among the wreckage of the present
Divided, subdivided
As if in muddy flood waters
Where the dead bull rolls, huge
Dead bull, dead bull, dead bull
Trees of the quiet landscape
With you — tall, so marginal! —
The soul remains, the startled soul
Startled for evermore
While the body goes with the dead bull
Dead bull, dead bull, dead bull
Dead bull, immoderately big
Bull astoundingly bull
Dead, without form or sense
Or meaning. No one knows
What you were. Now a dead bull
Dead Bull, dead bull, dead bull
