Tea and Coffee (and Alcohol)
We arrive
alittletheworseforwear
you take off your coat
at the third attempt
(why Miss Smith you’re beautiful)
we begin this with coffee
and me laughing
having forgotten how to make it

I awake
alittletheworseforwear
the sunlight playing drums
with my throbbing pounding skull
(what were we thinking last night?)
and now we end with a cup of tea
and you not knowing
where exactly you go from here
