Rhyme nor reason
We were wise to wash advice
right down, with a drink to ideas.
I don't offer youth or years for denial,
we'd almost be lovers, near sisters, near brothers,
if your conscience hadn't launched its show retrial.
You're too clever for forever cults,
you always knew the mode to mock,
how spiritual leaders force-feed us for air-to-ground results,
under what pressure a fissure starts in rock,
when fondness fails, when competing hearts crack, break.
It's just . . . what we discussed? years before?
For goodness sake, didn't you confide your tested, well, tried
Code For the Always Right? -
