A Man with Ten Shadows
I saw ten shadows of a man
Every shadow being different from the otherAll the shadows converged beneath his feet
carrying him around on their palmsHe appeared as a flower with ten petals of different colours
As if he had grown out of the earth
Or he was a ten-headed Ravana before the abduction of SitaHe scared me for a while –
Was he okay or in a bad way
What did he think of one-shadowed beings
He must be dreaming ten times more
He carried much existential weightHe smiled at me
The man with the ten shadows[AM. JW and the poet]
