One Long Some Time
never got there
the old put-put failed
this house of bricks
this you that was that me
up some urban
three piece bank
with floral arrangement
moment was
lots of moments were
there is coincidence
in laying crazy paving
the weather never enters
it is always someone else
hard mud has cracked
baked & split open
with your legs
apart on a bed
in fascination
this is a small day
each one has a
potted plant
at the window
afraid it will go
blown to bits
by steady weather
or windy rain
to the drum of the freezer
& not a sound to hear it
it all goes on
busily like building blocks
a theme of leisure homes
dumped in the waste
with the traces
was that you me
is it?
today rain
tomorrow shine
I've half a mind
to change it all
but not now
