Fog
Yesterday the clouds came down
Dissolving the World
Lifting up the streets, the trees,
The houses, individually,
Pushing between people on the Promenade
Wrapping each one carefully in its own voice.
Fishermen couldn’t find the sea,
Farmers lost their fields, and you,
You were left suspended at the quay
Gazing up at where the sky should be,
Waiting for the Sun to break through.
