Lapis
Like shiny stones
In a box
I’ll take out these images
Of you
Packing to go
Neatly arranging your feelings
Like surgical instruments
Packing to go
This morning I am princess of the dawn
You look out the window to take the view with
you
I have warm tears on my neck
The sky turns from hard lapis, navy
Over this city
To icy blue grey
Cold lights appear
In buildings far away
Between us has been all the love
We could bear
