Earth-Love
Even the hunchback having a fit
Is beautiful in such a landscape /
Its green air softly sinking
To the earth / big birds standing in trees
Higher than clouds / when waggoners drive
Muck-spreaders from night till morning /
Their powerful double-fantasies
Infiltrate my dreams / faded memories
Of fifteen forgotten men / and only
The corresponding landscapes remain
In my mind / in fact no one
Can sleep around here / and no
Wonder in such amazingly lit-up
Nights / the only wonder’s my
Life / and had it not been for the muck-
Spreader-drivers / who now
With stubbly beards and rolled-up
Sleeves approach each other / blocking
The only way between moors / it might have
Been possible to meet one’s own little
Death now / which will sprout in this
Fertile land / where normally
Beings exist / whose cold pupils
Cause pitch-forks raised in self-defence
To sink / as further on
Sea-wind the yachts of townsfolk.
