from the sequence If You Love Do Not Fear God
Love’s Freedom
Love does not come
when you expect it.
Love will escape
if you try to contain it.
But when love does come
you’ll have lost your freedom.
Love’s freedom takes over
to say, for example,
I love you
and love has its way.
