Snowdrops
I curl your name
on my tongue.
This kind of loving
lingers in the mouth
like garlic and young onions,
clings to my hair
like old smoke.
My body
smiles secretly to itself.
The earth dilates
to let the snowdrops
push their glistening
nubs through.
